  • -To develop an HR strategy to ensure the school has the right people in the right places Agree with the Head a plan for how we recruit for the various different roles Develop and review the organisational charts Develop a recruitment timeline for key roles Build relationships with key local and international recruiters Ongoing Develop a plan for training new senior staff / managers who will become part of the recruitment process as they come on board Develop a remuneration philosophy Develop a clear statement about how we remunerate staff and why Work with Finance to develop linked salary scales for roles across the school Develop performance development and management program for academic (with Dir of TT / PD) and professional staff Develop a policy on remuneration and performance review for all staff Fully implement Safer Recruitment Ensure that every recruitment is in full compliance with the Safer Recruitment Policy Develop HR filing systems, including the Single Central Register, for all HR documents including review and audit process for files that makes the Head ultimately accountable Develop HR policies and procedures Systematically propose and develop a full set of HR policies and procedures for the school Review HR Information Systems and lead the process to propose an appropriate system to the Board Develop a training and development strategy to ensure that you keep up to date with HR practice and Nigerian HR and employment law Work with the Head / COO and Director of TT / PD to develop a Professional Development and Training program for all staff Develop an on-boarding program for new staff and be the lead for this program Build an HR team that will effectively support the efficient running of the school Plan and develop an HR staffing strategy for the school for the next Work with and train other functional department heads to ensure they develop parallel team building strategies The role is a new role as the client company was founded in 2020 and they are looking to build up a team for the business

Job Requirement

we are looking for a candidate who fulfill these requirements

  • -A Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources A relevant Master’s degree is an added advantage At least 5 years of experience in human resource-based position
  • - Experience of leading and managing an HR team in an educational environment Knowledge of Nigerian employment laws and current HR practice Experience of negotiation and resolution with outside agencies Excellent communication skills, both written and spoken, appropriate to all levels of the community Experience in guiding, managing and interacting with diverse teams Honesty, integrity and confidentiality Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail Highly developed team-working skills with a proactive, can-do attitude Knowledge of evidence-based systems to enable HR products and services to be developed Pragmatic, common sense approach to problem solving Evidence of the introduction of new ways of working, products or services to benefit the business Familiarity and skill with MS Office Suite Experience and high-level skills in business presentations Exhibit a commitment to continuous learning
